The airport is found 8 miles southeast of Houston’s central business district. The William P. Hobby Airport is a public airport and it comprises of 1,304 acres and the number of runways in it is four. Before the creation of the Houston Intercontinental airport, now known as the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Hobby Airport is Houston’s main terminal and it is the oldest airport around.
